Thanks for both your replies and suggestions on how to solve the 'locked files' problem. I was busy yesterday with domestic chores and have not had chance to study your replies. What I should have told you previously is that I'm nearly 81 years but have a 'young' outlook. However whilst I'm fairly comfortable using the computer I struggle sometimes with the computer technology and language e.g. what is GUI etc. So if I don't quite follow your commands please bare with me.
