I understood what you meant about commands Ctrl+c and Crtl+Shift+v that I press the keys to enter the Terminal, what I was not so sure about was why I had to type the command Ctrl+Shift+t at the start of opening Terminal.

Here is result of your latest instruction:-
kevin@kevin-desktop:~$ df | grep media
/dev/sdb1       60456992 43655168  16801824  73% /media/kevin/PHILIPS UFD
kevin@kevin-desktop:~$
