Debian 12 on Dell Vostro 5510 laptop.
I have several old USB sticks that would be perfectly useable if I could only delete the “live-disk” files
A web search is very depressing in its complexity of solutions.
To start with, I tried the fdisk command:
keith@dv5510:~$ fdisk -l
bash: fdisk: command not found
keith@dv5510:~$ sudo apt install fdisk
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree… Done
Reading state information… Done
fdisk is already the newest version (2.38.1-5+deb12u3).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.
keith@dv5510:~$
So, fdisk is installed but won’t work. Hmm.
So that’s two problems! Advice would be appreciated.
